Many of the rivers that originate on the Chota Nagpur Plateau and flow down into West Bengal are rain fed and have for ages wrought havoc with their seasonal floods. This includes the Mayurakshi. Annual rainfall over the basin varies between 765 and 1607 mm with an average of 1200 mm of which 80% occurs during the monsoon season from June to September.In the rest of the time of the year the rivers seems tobe in asleep.But in the time of rain they seems to be as Dragon which see in Hollywood films.The condition of the rivers guide Bandhs are in the worst condition.In near Bhimgarh The River Ajay Is coming towards the Village.The Authority should take the steps that the people can sleep nothing But not in worry..
