YESTERDAY
evening we were discussing about the Cricket in our so called “ Chai Pe Charcha”
in our regular tea Stall of Sudan Da.
The main
matter of the debate was “ Comparison of Present and Past “
Comparisons
may well be odious but they are also irresistible. Who's the greater? Such
debates are often endless and always fruitless
4 of the 7
were backing Virat Kohali . In their Point of View Virat Kohali is one of the
best Player of the Indian History. But I was totally astonished with the fact the bigger part of the people is
only walking the present record and condition. They are not at all interested
about the History, as the past has no importance to us.
Indian
Cricket Players are known world for their achievements. India has produced
several great cricketing legends who have contributed immensely by setting
personal milestones in history of cricket. Indian Cricketers have several
awards from foreign cricket boards, The greatness of Sachin Tendulkar has been
highlighted by Sir Don Bradman himself. Others who have also made India proud
are Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Virender Sehwag,Sourav Gangly, Md Azaharuddin,
Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble Erapalli Prasanna ,
Gundappa Viswanath Srinivas Venkataraghavan and many others.
Virat Kohali
, MS Dhoni and others are playing and doing very well. But the present
condition is very much comfortable for the players. The legends are played in
the extreme condition.
You can’t
just compare with Tagore’s poetry with others.
In the
1960s, cricket was compelled to react to the force of economic necessity. They
were bound to do another job for their daily lives. Now the Players are getting
the money in its maximum. Today's cricketers have had to become more adaptable
as they turn their attentions to the differing demands of the various
competitions, and unfortunately there is less scope for the out-and out
specialist. I'm afraid they have had to become fitter as well. Now a days the
there are many leagues, any they earning what a Hollywood Star earns.
The main
things is that the legends are legends.
